November 22, 2021 - “Intersections” is Directed by Vietnam War Amerasian Adoptee, Kirk Kellerhals, and is now co-produced by 3rd Shift Entertainment Group, Inc. and the Multimedia Influence and Education Program of SEA2C. This program is operated by an unpaid volunteer force of multimedia professionals with storied backgrounds in cinematography and journalism.
 

“Intersections” is a multi-season docuseries that explores the lives of the "Children of the Dust"; a Vietnamese based derogatory term coined during the Vietnam War to refer to the mixed race children born there during the war and whom were in many cases, orphaned and adopted into families around the world. The series also shares the stories of the men, women, and military service members that helped shape their lives. The series is hosted and narrated by Vietnam War Amerasian adoptee, Canh Oxelson.

Season 1 of "Intersections, 'The DaNang Gang'" features the lives of 4 war orphans whose lives began in DaNang during the tail end of the Vietnam War and how they are using their experiences, life lessons, and connections to help others whose lives are still impacted by that tumultuous time in history.

"Intersections" will make its' debut in 2022 through various film festival circuits.

The Virginia Beach Chief of Police (Retired),

James A. Cervera 

is voted onto to the SEAcoast2Coast Board of Directors

April 4, 2022 -  The SEAcoast2Coast Foundation is proud to announce the addition of James (Jim) A. Cervera, Virginia Beach Chief of Police (Retired), to the Board of Directors. Jim's connection to the mission of SEA2C is through the ultimate sacrifice that his older brother made while serving honorably in the Vietnam War and his passion to help other Veterans and active duty military personnel.

After serving two years with the Montclair, NJ, Police Department, Jim joined the Virginia Beach Police Department in 1978, and was promoted through the ranks. He was appointed to the top rank of Chief of Police by then City Manager, James K. Spore in 2010. After more than 44 years of law enforcement, he retired from the Virginia Beach Police Department on May 1, 2020.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Fla., and a Masters of Public Administration degree from Old Dominion University. He graduated from the FBI National Academy 171 session in Quantico, Va., the Police Executive Leadership School at the University of Richmond, the University of Virginia’s Senior Executive Institute, the Senior Management Program in Policing from Boston University, and the National Executive Institute. Jim currently works as an Adjunct Instructor for the FBI-National Academy Associates and Tidewater Community College.

It is an honor and a privilege to have Jim on board as a vital part of the SEA2C Leadership Team.
